Papers of the Hubbard family, particularly Elias (1746-1832) and his son Elias, Jr. (1776-1864), include deeds and mortgages for property in Flatlands; bills of sale for slaves; and apprenticeship agreements. Also contains material relating to Flatlands including town law regulating clamming, 1808; minutes of the Flatlands Temperance Society, 1830; school district records; minutes of meetings on the Brooklyn City Charter; and Dutch Reformed Church minutes. Also a copy of General Howe's proclamation to the loyalists.
